*You're nothing special -- Your wits are the only thing that separate you from the corpses of failed mercenaries scattered about. Survivability is not dependent on your level or strength, but on your adaptability to see through constantly changing traps and enemies. Treasure and terror go hand in hand.

*Brandish with care -- Flexible dual-wielding system combined with a magic slot adds another layer to real-time combat strategy. Switch between ultimate offense or ultimate defense on the fly.

*Natural character growth -- Your statistics increase with every blow you deal and each casting of a spell. Because you get better at what you do by doing what you do, there is zero grinding involved.

I liked this patch pretty well. I thought the original brandish was good, and that this was in line with what I had expected.

As for issues:
My copy of the game's checksum comes up correct in SNES9X if I set the 4 bytes at 0xFFDC to 6C F4 93 0B.

The only real text issue I recall is when I first exited from the prison, and Venezir talks. The line in question:
"And don't you dare running away from us, now."

In terms of instructions, I hit a bit of a snag on Fortress 6, when following the ritual instructions.
The conditions were a bit picky as far as when you should put items down or use them for the desired result.

That aside, the translation works quite well within the structure of the game. It seems to convey the original intent of the text for the most part.

I, at least, appreciate that you took the time and trouble.

So far I'm absolutely thrilled to be playing this and your team here has done an excellent job putting this patch together. Thank you very much for this. I think I'm a Brandish fan for life now after Dark Revenant and Planet Buster!

Currently I am in the inner Castle area and attempting to try and solve all the puzzles, some of which are extreme! That one puzzle for the 4 trials, ultimately leading to the Barrier Magic Spell was such a pain, but extremely hardcore. At any rate, I wasn't planning on using a FAQ for the game, but I was getting pretty well stockpiled with items and equipment, so I decided to Look at Jax's Brandish 2 FAQ over at GameFaqs to see where the next shop was in the Castle area and his guide took me to a whole new level of secret hidden rooms at the Castle Underground that I didn't even know existed! Eventually I got to the shop keeper there and then I jumped over him only to find even more secrets! Damn! Secret central! However, after attempting to explore the entire floor I found that there was one "Weird Wall" that could be walked through that exists in the room with all the treasure chests that I can't seem to access. Even Jax didn't seem to know the answer to it, so I was wondering if anyone else had found out how to get behind there?

I really like Brandish, but it can be frustrating to know that there is a secret somewhere, only you can't find it. It kind of naggs away at you constantly snarling and gnashing it's teeth at your mind until you stumble on the answer!

You better believe I'm enjoying this! It's been quite an amazing experience so far and I'm really looking forward to seeing if I can get 100% map completion with this as well.

Also, thank you very much for your advice. I did read the read me file and it answered my question almost immediately. So, problem solved! Time to finish the inner Castle now. : )

You know, I'm pretty proud of what we accomplished. It's been two months, at least a 1000 downloads and not a single bug report or even typo!!
